The Georgiana Opry House was first open January 31, 1939 as the GA-ANA Theater. Georgiana Alabama was a prosperous railroad town. The GA-ANA had a movie screen, as well as a stage for traveling vaudeville shows and musical acts. Hank Williams Sr. performed here on November 5 of that same year. He was 16 years old. Young Hank walked the sidewalks of his childhood hometown that afternoon advertising his upcoming evening show with the Drifting Cowboys band by handing out show bills. 

 

The stage is filled with many artist names who have entertained Georgiana, Alabama and its visitors throughout the years, as well as Hank’s star, that Pee-wee Moultrie returned to play the stage and helped to design 60 years later.

All of which is available as your private event space as well, offering a unique and intimate setting for any occasion. House Regulations

* Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area of the Georgiana Opry House.

* Smoking in designated outdoor areas only.

* No alcohol, sales or consumption will be permitted.

* Nothing will be hung from any fixtures of the theater (specifically the exposed ceiling tile grid while we are renovating).

* No helium balloons.

* No nails, tacks, tape, or adhesive of any kind may be used on any surfaces of the theater

* No personal pets will be allowed without prior consent by management (An extra cleaning fee may be charged). Does not apply to certified companion dogs.

* The Georgiana Opry House will not be responsible for belongings/equipment left behind at load out. Due to limited space and renovations, anything remaining more than 24 hours, without prior consent from venue management may be subject to storage fees.

* Show personnel or promoter representatives, must sign for all deliveries. The Georgiana Opry House cannot assume responsibility of packages and deliveries ordered by promoters, unless prearranged with venue management.

* As per contract with the Georgiana Opry House, the doors will open one hour prior to the printed curtain time.

* 25% is added to Georgiana Opry House employees, including tech, venue, manager, ticketing, personnel, etc. for labor tax.

* No tickets may go on sale until I deposit an executed contract have been received by the Georgiana Opry House.

House Advertising Display

The Georgiana Opry House has poster space in lighted cases available outside/front of the venue advertising. The renter is responsible for design and printing of posters. 

The Georgiana Opry House reserves the right for final design approval. 

 

Poster case:  30” wide and 60” tall. 

 

(1x) 11”x17” upcoming event poster can be displayed in the box office 30 days prior to event. 

 

Rental-Advertising also includes:

* An event calendar entry on all Georgiana Opry House outlets. 

An event link on www.georgianaopryhouse.com with tickets. (Renter is responsible for providing a promotional image, text and links desired.)

* Social media mentions about ticket sales and upcoming events through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok at Georgiana Opry House discretion.
